What is the job role?
1. Teach a class of pupils and ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs in line with Key Stage 1 guidelines
2. Maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom
3. Contribute to constructive team-building amongst teaching and non-teaching staff, parents, governors and the wider community
4. Ensure that the current national conditions of employment for school teachers are met
Who are we looking for?
5. Implement agreed school policies and guidelines
6. Support initiatives decided by the Head Teacher and staff
7. Plan appropriately to meet the needs of all pupils
8. Be able to set and review clear targets, based on prior attainment, for pupils’ learning
9. Keep appropriate and efficient records, integrating formative and summative assessment into weekly and termly planning
10. Lead, organise and direct support staff within the classroom
11. Any other duties and responsibilities within the range of the salary grade
