Overview
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, relational, and driven leader to take on the role of Headteacher of the Ceredigion Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) on a 2-year fixed-term basis.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity, which could be undertaken on a secondment basis, to lead the PRU and support behaviour services across Ceredigion. You will provide strategic educational leadership, manage a dedicated team of staff, and work collaboratively with key services including Engagement and Attainment, Inclusion, and the Youth Service.
You will be responsible for delivering a clear and ambitious vision that ensures success for every learner and facilitates their reintegration into mainstream education. The role also involves offering expert advice on behaviour and wellbeing, overseeing the PRU budget, analysing learner progress data, and contributing to behaviour policy and practice across the local authority.
Responsibilities
* Lead the PRU and support behaviour services across Ceredigion to deliver high-quality provision and promote positive outcomes for learners.
* Provide strategic educational leadership, manage a dedicated team of staff, and collaborate with partner services such as Engagement and Attainment, Inclusion, and the Youth Service.
* Deliver a clear and ambitious vision that supports reintegration of learners into mainstream education.
* Offer expert advice on behaviour and wellbeing and contribute to behaviour policy and practice across the local authority.
* Oversee the PRU budget and analyse learner progress data to inform decision-making.
