Horsley Kids Childcare Centre in Horsley Park is seeking a passionate and experienced Educational Leader to join our well-established, family-owned service. This hands‑on leadership role is central to driving high-quality educational practice, mentoring educators, and supporting our goal of achieving an Exceeding rating under the National Quality Standard (NQS).
As our Educational Leader, you will lead, mentor, inspire, and support educators in delivering high-quality early childhood education and care. You will embed the approved curriculum frameworks (EYLF V2.0 & MTOP), guide reflective practice, mentor educators in curriculum decision‑making, and promote continuous improvement across the service. The role includes conducting regular compliance and quality checks, overseeing the educational program, monitoring room practice standards, and collaborating with the Centre Director to maintain and implement the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
You will help ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework, Child Safe Standards, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, and all Horsley Kids policies and procedures. Building strong relationships with children, families, and staff is essential, as is promoting safe, inclusive and engaging learning environments. You will also support the Nominated Supervisor with day‑to‑day tasks that contribute to a high‑quality service offering.

All employees must hold a current Working With Children Check, and screening is conducted throughout the recruitment process to ensure suitability to work with children.
Salary & Benefits:
We offer a competitive package including the Base Award rate + Educational Leader Allowance, a $5,000 bonus (for full‑time equivalent roles, pro‑rata for part‑time), occupancy bonuses and KPI bonuses of up to $35,000. We strongly support professional development and provide ongoing training, with a collaborative team focused on achieving excellence.
Hours of Work:
This role offers flexible part‑time to full‑time arrangements:
* Minimum of 3 days per week
* Full‑time option: Up to 38 hours per week across 4–5 days

About You:
You are a warm, confident and reflective leader with a passion for high‑quality early childhood education. You hold either a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (ACECQA‑approved) or a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, with at least 3 years in a leadership role or 5 years’ experience in early childhood education. You bring strong knowledge of EYLF V2.0, NQF, NQS and Child Protection requirements, along with current First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis and WWCC certifications. You are confident mentoring educators, supporting practice “in the moment,” and using both indoor and outdoor environments intentionally. Collaboration, communication and a commitment to child safety and continuous improvement are essential.
Interview Process:
Our recruitment process includes two stages:
1. Stage 1 – Video Interview: A virtual interview with management to discuss your experience, philosophy and suitability.
2. Stage 2 – On‑site Interview: A face‑to‑face meeting at Horsley Kids, including a centre walk‑through and a deeper discussion about the role.

Welcome to Horsley Kids Early Childhood Centre. We are a privately‑run long day care centre purposely built to cater for 86 children who are aged between 6 weeks and 5 years. We are situated on 2.5 acres in a semi‑rural area of Horsley Park.
The curriculum planned at Horsley Kids appreciates and reflects the interests, uniqueness and the developmental needs of all children in the centre, whilst maintaining a high level of care and professionalism.
