Our client is looking for an Associate Director of Finance.
Job Description
* Role & Reporting: Senior finance leadership position reporting to the Director General and working closely with executive management. Direct responsibility for the finance team, IT manager, and executive officer.
* Core Responsibilities: Oversee all financial operations including statutory reporting, compliance, tax administration, and budget management. Provide financial advice to support strategic decisions, manage risk registers, and liaise with external auditors, regulators, and government stakeholders.
* Additional Duties: Lead IT operations including cyber security, ensure GDPR compliance, and manage insurance across entities. Act as Company Secretary, prepare board papers, and oversee governance, risk, and compliance policies.
* Team Leadership: Provide strong line management, coaching, and development for finance and IT staff. Drive process improvements, maintain financial systems, and ensure accurate reporting.
* Qualifications & Skills: Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIFA) required, with expertise in UK GAAP, tax law, and cross-cultural communication. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to explain complex financial information, and experience in commercial or charity environments.
