About Us STARK is a new kind of defence technology company revolutionising the way autonomous systems are deployed across multiple domains. We design, develop, and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are software-defined, mass-scalable, and cost-effective. This provides our operators with a decisive edge in highly contested environments. We’re focused on delivering deployable, high-performance systems - not future promises. In a time of rising threats, STARK is bolstering the technological edge of NATO Allies and their Partners to deter aggression and defend Europe - today. Your mission As a Configuration Control Engineer, you will be the guardian of technical integrity and product consistency at STARK. In an environment where we move fast from concept to high-rate production, you will ensure that every nut, bolt, and line of code is accounted for, traceable, and controlled throughout the product lifecycle. You will bridge the gap between engineering, manufacturing, and quality, establishing the rigorous frameworks needed to manage complex hardware and software configurations. Your work ensures that what we design is exactly what we build, and what we build is exactly what is fielded to our operators. Responsibilities Define and manage functional, allocated, and product baselines for UAV platforms to maintain strict configuration control. Facilitate the review and approval process for Engineering Changes and Requests for Deviation, ensuring thorough impact assessments across all departments. Maintain complex Bills of Materials (BOMs) within PLM/ERP systems to ensure alignment between engineering "As-Designed" and manufacturing "As-Built" records. Oversee the release of technical data packages (TDPs) to ensure drawings, specifications, and software versions meet rigorous internal standards and regulatory requirements. Perform Physical and Functional Configuration Audits (PCA/FCA) to verify that physical products accurately reflect their technical documentation. Act as the primary point of contact for configuration-related queries, bridging communication between Mechanical Design, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production. Drive continuous improvement of PLM workflows to optimize traceability and speed in support of high-rate production environments. Qualifications Demonstrate a proven track record in Configuration Management or Systems Engineering, specifically within aerospace, defense, or high-complexity autonomous systems. Maintain proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, such as 3D Experience, and ERP integration. Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models using SolidWorks or CATIA, and software versioning logic. Apply CM standards like EIA-649 or ISO 10007 within certification frameworks such as EASA, FAA, or MIL-STD. Approach tasks with an uncompromising eye for detail and a process-first mindset. Utilise excellent interpersonal skills to hold teams accountable to CM processes while supporting a fast-paced development culture.
