About the Role We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Childcare Assistant to support our registered childminder and assistant in providing high-quality childcare within a positive, safe, and happy home-from-home environment.
You will work closely with the childminder to assist in the daily running of the setting, supporting childrens learning, play and development while ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Help plan and take part in fun, play-based activities that encourage childrens learning and development.
Support and engage with children during play, promoting confidence, creativity, and independence.
Assist with personal care routines, including nappy changing, toileting, and meal times.
Accompany children and the childminder on local outings, such as playgroups and trips to the park.
Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times.
Help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for children.
Complete basic record-keeping such as attendance, accident forms, and cleaning logs.
Build warm, positive relationships with children, parents, and the wider community.
Support with preparing meals and tidying the kitchen area after use.
Participate in training and development opportunities as required.
What Were Looking For Essential:

Reliable, enthusiastic and committed to providing quality childcare.
Willingness to undertake basic training.
A current DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Preferred:
Paediatric First Aid training (Needs to be completed during probation)
Early Years qualification (Level 2 or above).
Previous experience working with young children.
