Job Purpose
To ensure the smooth, safe, and supportive running of a hotel for residents and staff. To monitor and enforce property rules, ensure safety, provide basic support for residents.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Supervising the property to ensure safety & security.
* Performing regular welfare checks and responding to emergencies.
* Monitoring access and ensuring hotel policies are followed by residents.
* Reporting and coordinating maintenance and repairs.
* Promoting a safe, respectful, and clean environment (common areas, sleeping areas).
* Documenting incidents, keeping logs, and recording breaches or concerns.
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, fire & safeguarding standards.
* May involve working unsociable hours: evenings, weekends, bank holidays, depending on hotel rota.

* Good communication skills: able to talk and listen with residents, staff, and partner agencies.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure / in conflict situations.
* Capacity to work alone when needed, and as part of a team.
* Good observational and problem‑solving skills.

* Understands confidentiality and discretion.
* Reliability, punctuality, flexibility.
Desirable
* Previous experience working in a hotel, supported housing or similar environment.
