I am working with a RCT based manufacturing business who are looking to add a product designer to the team. Now part of a larger group and experiencing significant growth - including recent major public-sector contract wins - the business is investing heavily in new product development and expanding its in-house design capability. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of innovative, safety-critical products that support frontline teams in demanding environments. Apply below!
Roles and Responsibilities
* Assist in the design and development of inflatable safety and rescue products
* Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models and technical drawings
* Support prototype development and testing activities
* Collaborate with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility
* Conduct basic engineering calculations and material assessments
* Participate in design reviews and contribute to problem-solving discussions
Requirements
* Diploma or degree qualified in engineering or product design
* 2+ years experience working in a design role
* Experience working with Autocad and Solidedge
