Job Responsibility:
Overview: Element has an exciting opportunity for a brand new Environment and Sustainability Administrator to join our team supporting the Senior Manager of Environment and Sustainability for our EMEAA region. Our new Administrator will play a key role in collecting sustainability data and building a detailed picture of Element's footprint to support its commitments and targets. Working largely remotely, it is essential for our new colleague to have a real passion for the world of sustainability and climate change, as well as a desire to learn and develop further. This role would be a fantastic fit for someone who is analytical, investigative and who loves building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
* Work with our external data management partner to review monthly data completeness reports
* Identify missing submissions from EMEAA region and collect any missing data sets, ensuring accurate input into platform
* Compile monthly energy and carbon reports using templates and submitting these to each EMEAA location
* Working with our external partner, access data required for external regulatory compliance requirements and provide this to the necessary third parties
* Help track improvement projects across EMEAA and record impacts and improvements
* Take responsibility for ensuring our EMEAA site list is maintained and up to date with new sites being entered and required data points established
* Support the sustainability ambassadors' network through managing the dedicated Teams channel, scheduling meetings / training and enabling the regular flow of information and shared experiences across the team
* Support the Senior Regional manager in providing an accurate quarterly review of business performance and in driving improvements in the decarbonisation process
Skills / Qualifications:
* Passion for sustainability, and climate change in particular, as well as a desire to learn more about the subject
* Experience of working with large data sets and reports
* Strong interpersonal skills to effectively deal with external and internal stakeholders; fostering open upward and downward communication within the business, built on mutual respect
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs
* Must be proficient in standard office software and IT systems (MS Windows, Word, Power Point, Excel)
* Investigative; Takes time to understand people and process
* Analytical; Makes decisions based on facts and knows how to analyse data
* Ability to remain calm when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities
* Strong ethical principles and ability to remain impartial and act with integrity at all times
