We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and analytical Library & Information Specialist to join our Information Services team on a part-time basis.
Role Purpose
Our Information Services team provides timely, efficient, and valuable resources to support business decisions and R&D activities, utilizing methodologies and resources from our collections, contextualizing research questions, and identifying knowledge gaps for further research. As a Library & Information Specialist at Lucideon, you will play a critical role in this team. Applicants should have experience in an information services or library role, preferably with a technical or scientific background.
Key Responsibilities:
* Configure and optimize library systems, processes, and services
* Manage and develop collections, including book ordering and cataloging
* Engage with internal & external clients to deliver content and support their R&D work
* Conduct literature searches to support R&D internally and externally
* Provide insights on current trends, articles, and events relevant to the business
* Stay updated on professional skills, library best practices, and new developments like AI to enhance service delivery

Qualifications
* STEM-based qualification
* CILIP accreditation preferred but not mandatory
* Postgraduate Library or Information Science qualification preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
* Experience in a library or information service role is essential
* Interest in science and research
* Computer literate
* Experience conducting literature/evidence searches and making recommendations
* Ability to meet deadlines, manage workload, and prioritize tasks
* Excellent communication skills
