Overview
The Senior Support Worker position at Enable offers an opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. Based in Sileby, this permanent role requires the individual to work across supported living services in both Sileby and Loughborough. The role involves supporting individuals to live independently in their homes and promoting their inclusion in everyday life.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Support Worker to work across our supported living services in Sileby and Loughborough, delivering and overseeing high‑quality support for eight individuals with learning disabilities and/or difficulties, autism, and complex needs. In this role, you will support people to live as independently as possible within their own homes, promoting choice, control, and inclusion in everyday life. You will play a key role in ensuring each person receives tailored, person‑centred support that reflects their goals, preferences, and aspirations.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Registered Manager, you will divide your time between hands‑on support and leadership or administrative responsibilities, coordinate support across both services, guide and mentor staff teams, and ensure services run smoothly, safely, and in line with best practice and regulatory standards. Your role includes:
* Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live to promote independence.
* Supporting activities of daily living, including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals, and budgeting.
* Communicating effectively using people’s chosen methods.
* Engaging by promoting and motivating people to enhance their quality of life.
* Specialising by supporting people who may need positive behaviour support approaches.
* Recording by keeping accurate records and reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management.
* Team playing by working as part of a team and using your own initiative.

Qualifications
* A minimum of 12 months on your right to work.
* Full UK driver’s licence.
* Level 2 in Health and Social Care and willingness to work towards Level 3.
