Overview

The Joint Replacement Sales Representative will be primarily responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives for the territory and associated orthopaedic product lines across West Sussex and East Hampshire. This will be accomplished by representing Stryker as a leader in our industry and the marketplace by working with a sophisticated audience comprised of surgeons and healthcare professionals. The candidate will be responsible for communicating with current and new customer accounts regarding product updates, changes to product portfolio and educational programs. The Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales in his/her sales territory, developing relationships with users of the hip and knee portfolio. He/she is required to manage existing business and account manage the established customers, while pursuing new business opportunities within the territory.


Key Activities & Accountabilities

* Understand and articulate the benefits of a complex and wide-ranging product portfolio.
* Acquisition of new customers and growth of the customer base.
* Territory planning, executing and monitoring all measures necessary to guarantee achieving budget.
* Plan and execute on a quarterly and annual business plan, managing existing revenue streams and customers, and driving acquisition across the territory to generate growth.
* Manage all resources and materials in the territory.
* Provide customer care for physicians, surgical/theatre staff and hospital administration with the goal of qualitative and sales-oriented consultation.
* Ensure products are sold within in-house guidelines and establish revenue gains.
* Achieve sales and margin targets for the territory and manage contracts and pricing agreements in collaboration with the Regional Manager and Product Manager.
* Represent Stryker to all levels of health care professionals, commissioners and managers in the territory.
* Develop and maintain relationships with users of the hip and knee portfolio and hunt for new business opportunities within the territory.


Experience & Qualifications

* Successful sales experience within the NHS or in other industries.
* Verifiable success in sales and proven ability to acquire new customers.
* Relationship-building skills and a natural ability to develop professional connections.
* Computer skills, MS Office.
* Very good written and spoken English.
* Presentation skills with modern presentation media.
