We have a new opportunity at Turner price for a detailed, meticulous and self-motivated Stock Control to join a fast-paced, forward-thinking business. As Stock Control Assistant, you will ensure that the stock system is up to date and accurate at all times. Stock investigations and site adherence to stock integrity are key in this role.
You will also be responsible for managing the receipt of all incoming stock and ensuring that deliveries are checked against purchase orders and delivery notes, and check that all elements of the Goods-In operation is up to date and accurate at all times.

Turner Price sells over 8,500 food, drink, consumables, kitchen essentials and tableware items. Recognised for their in-house produce and state-of-the-art butchery facility, customers can also purchase from a large range of fresh British meat, daily prepared vegetables, and quality fresh fruit & vegetables.
Salary: 26,030 + £1,300 Bonus
Location: Hull, Wiltshire Road
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am – 3pm, or 7am to 4pm
Role Essentials
* Use the In-House system to run reports including costs to the business and create excel spreadsheets (system training will be provided as necessary).
* Assist and maintain PI cycles to continuously hit KPI targets.
* Assist asset control and loss prevention.
* Provide accurate reports on demand and at scheduled times, meeting agreed KPIs.
* Assist the Stock Control Manager in monitoring date rotation and provide information to the Sales and Buying teams to prevent stock loss.
* Be able to work in a cold store.
* Manage the receipt of all incoming stock, ensuring that deliveries are checked against purchase orders and delivery notes.
* Ensure all documentation is properly completed and filed eg. purchase orders, delivery notes, goods received notes (GRNS).
* Liaise with suppliers / hauliers and internal teams, to resolve delivery issues and ensure timely resolution of any stock-related queries.
* Maintain records of damaged, returned, or rejected goods and ensure that these are processed accordingly.
* Manage booking-in emails, communicating with suppliers, hauliers, internal teams.
* To provide support to Stock Control teams duties during absence & holiday
* Any general warehouse duties on an 'as and when' basis e.g. stock picking
Who we're looking for
* Someone who can meet the physical demands of the role (this role is very 'hands-on' however, 50% of your time will be office-based).
* Proven experience within a warehouse environment.
* Intermediate level Excel skills required (Formula's, Tables, Graphs).
* Sound working knowledge of WMS.
* Experience using Microsoft Office.
* Proven experience within a Goods in office Operation.
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
