We’re on the lookout for a Machining Planning Engineer to join an established and highly skilled aerospace manufacturing team. This is a critical planning and engineering role that requires zero people management – a supervisory structure is already in place, so you can focus on what you do best: solving engineering problems and ensuring production readiness. The Successful Machining Planning Engineer - Package: * Salary: £40,000 per annum * Hours: 40 hours per week * Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm * Friday: 8:00am–2:00pm * Long-term stability in a secure and growing business * Work with leading aerospace customers and cutting-edge CNC technology What We’re Looking For: * Strong problem-solving skills within an engineering/manufacturing environment * Full understanding of engineering drawings, including materials, treatments, assemblies, and geometric tolerancing * Excellent communication skills – able to liaise with internal teams and customers confidently * CNC machine shop experience (essential) * Apprentice trained or higher qualification in Engineering * Aerospace industry background (preferred) The Successful Machining Planning Engineer – Key Responsibilities: * Contract review of every order entered into our MRP system * Ensure all production notes and drawings meet our capabilities and flag any issues early * Communicate with customers if requirements cannot be met or need clarifying * Confirm all documentation is completed and sign-offs are logged within the MRP system * Inform the programming team of any specific tooling requirements in a timely manner * Use the MRP system to plan full routings and BOMs, ensuring smooth workflow into manufacturing * Maintain and communicate the engineering hold log to all relevant personnel Apply now!
