Havencare is a forward‑thinking and growing charity. We have been making a difference for 35 years, changing the lives of people who have learning disabilities, autism, brain injuries, and other support needs. Our big aims include every person having a home that is right for them, and support for the life they choose.
We are looking for outstanding people who align with our values of Transparency, Quality and Engagement.
An understanding of positive behaviour support (PBS) and leading PBS in practice would be an advantage, although not essential because we can develop these skills and experience with the right person who has the attitude and aptitude to learn and deliver at this level.
About the Role
You will work on‑shift, leading your team in outstanding practice. You will lead the principles of “nothing about me without me”, ensuring the supported person’s voice (behaviours, expressions, actions, words) is heard, and they are leading their support planning, delivery and review.
Overseeing two single‑person services, each receiving 24‑hour care and support including sleep‑ins. This role is for a female practice leader by choice of one of the individuals supported.
The role involves supporting the individuals’ mobility and community involvement, providing driver support where required and ensuring safety and emotional wellbeing in the presence of acquired brain injury and epilepsy.
