Group Purchasing & Stock Coordinator
Location: Poole (Office-based)
Hours: 37-5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, (typically 9am–5pm or 8am-4pm with a 30-minute lunch break).
Contract: Full-time, permanent.
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.

The Opportunity
We are looking for a proactive and commercially-minded professional to lead group-wide purchasing and stock control. This is a newly created role with a direct and visible impact on company performance, pricing consistency, and supply efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and validate purchase orders submitted by branches
* Raise purchase orders for bulk buying, central stock replenishment, or supplier-negotiated deals
* Negotiate supplier terms, pricing, and rebates to drive commercial value
* Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through consolidated orders
* Monitor stock levels across all branches, addressing gaps, overstock, and obsolete items
* Manage clearance of obsolete/dead stock and oversee product listing updates
* Support branches in sourcing and pricing decisions, maintaining central oversight and consistency
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain, ideally within the electrical or trade sector and across multiple branches or sites
* Strong negotiation skills and confidence working with both suppliers and internal teams
* A keen eye for commercial detail and pricing accuracy
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently
* Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced spreadsheet skills
* A full UK driving licence (occasional branch visits required)
* CIPS qualification (or working towards) is highly desirable but not essential
