Job Title: Development Worker (Link Academy) Contract: Fixed term until April 2028 Location: Edinburgh (with travel to Falkirk and Fife) Hours: 22.5 hours per week (over 4 days) Are you passionate about helping young people build positive futures? Join LinkLiving, a trauma-informed charity supporting people affected by mental health challenges, trauma, poverty and inequality. The Service Link Academy supports young people with complex needs who face barriers such as low confidence, poor mental health and difficulty transitioning into work, training or independent living. Through wellbeing programmes, life skills and qualifications, we help them build resilience and move forward positively. The Role You will deliver the Right Track (Navigating Positive Futures) programme, supporting young people at risk of involvement in the criminal justice system. You’ll provide one-to-one and group support around issues such as youth crime, antisocial behaviour, family breakdown and school-related challenges. You will also support parents/carers and lead peer education volunteers (16–24) who use their lived experience to positively influence others. Applications are welcome from those with lived or professional experience. About You You are committed to supporting young people, particularly those affected by the criminal justice system. You will have either SCQF Level 7 (HNC) or relevant lived experience with proven work in this field. You will also have: At least 3 years’ experience in youth work (including criminal justice) Experience delivering trauma-informed, engaging programmes Strong relationship-building and communication skills Experience of one-to-one and group work Ability to work with partners and stakeholders Good organisational and ICT skills Understanding of challenges facing young people in Scotland You are flexible, organised and a strong team player. Occasional evening/weekend work may be required.
