Role: Fleet Operations Manager
Location: Wakefield
Shift: Monday - Friday (Days)
Salary: £42,500 - £45,000 + Company Bonus & Additional Company Benefits

Key Responsibilities for the Fleet Operations Manager role:

* Fleet oversight: You'll take ownership of our commercial vehicle fleet - including vans, HGVs, and specialist vehicles - ensuring they're roadworthy, compliant, and ready to go when needed.
* Maintenance and repairs: Scheduling services, MOTs, and inspections; managing breakdowns; and keeping detailed maintenance records.
* Cost control: You'll keep a close eye on spend - from fuel and tyres to insurance and leasing - constantly looking for ways to reduce waste and improve value.
* Compliance and safety: Ensuring we meet all legal, safety and environmental standards. Keeping documentation accurate and audit-ready.
* Driver liaison: Supporting drivers with vehicle issues, communicating planned downtime, and making sure they've got what they need to do their jobs.
* Supplier management: Working with garages, leasing companies, fuel card providers, and other partners. Negotiating contracts and holding people to account.
* Continuous improvement: We want someone who'll challenge the status quo, spot inefficiencies, and suggest smarter ways of working.
