Workforce Officer - Attendance Management

Key Responsibilities
* Support managers and staff across the Health Board to manage sickness absence effectively, providing generalist HR advice.
* Work closely with operational teams, HR colleagues and Occupational Health to provide timely and focused support in line with the All Wales Managing Attendance at Work Policy.
* Analyse sickness‑absence data, identify trends and priorities, recommend improvements and maintain accurate records.
* Advise on the application of the Managing Attendance at Work Policy, attend review meetings, interpret Occupational Health reports, and coordinate ill‑health retirement cases.
* Plan and schedule review meetings, track case progression and empower operational teams to take timely action.
* Provide generalist HR support, including disciplinary cases, respect and resolution issues, and organisational change.
* Attend hearings or investigation meetings, take minutes where required, provide policy guidance and support completion of associated paperwork.
* Perform administrative duties such as drafting letters, maintaining HR files in line with retention standards, coordinating documentation for hearings and keying information into HR systems.
Qualifications and Skills
* Motivated, proactive individual with excellent communication skills.
* Strong judgement and organisational ability.
* Knowledge of HR policies, especially sickness‑absence and attendance management.
* Experience analysing HR data and working with Operational Workforce teams is desirable.
* English proficiency; Welsh language skills are desirable.
