We are recruiting a Housekeeper/Hostel Assistant to join our dedicated, friendly and professional team at our Glen Nevis Youth Hostel, part of the Lochaber Group As a Housekeeper/Hostel Assistant, you will be undertaking a range of hostel duties: Housekeeping/Cleaning Responsibilities Clean and maintain all rooms, public areas and toilets/shower rooms as directed Maintain good health and safety practices and handle chemical solutions in line with COSHH legislation Report all maintenance requests to your Manager and log on the maintenance tracker Deep clean rooms and public areas as outlined by your manager and maintain cleanliness in the hostel at all times by cleaning, polishing, cleaning carpets, dusting etc. Reception Take computer reservations by telephone, email and reception Provide advice to hotel guests about local and national attractions Provide a full reception service to Hostel guests, including check in, guest registration, check out etc. in line with Reception SOP’s Actively promote the sale of auxiliary items and additional services Maintain bed plans and act on recent changes Promote Hostelling Scotland Membership Naturally a great communicator who loves to work as part of a team.
