Financial Accountant Government Remote 5 months+ £400+ per day inside IR35
A government organisation is looking for a CCAB qualified Financial Accountant to be responsible for delivering month end processes with accuracy and timeliness and will use your financial accounting knowledge to ensure robust financial control across the organisation. Along with the Senior Financial Accounting Manager and Financial Accounting Manager, you will assist in coaching a small team, directing daily tasks. You will also support inthe organisations Whole of Government Accounts submission.
Essentials:
CCAB fully qualified with up to 5 years post qualification experience of working in a finance team (lead).
Technical knowledge of financial and reporting standards, and an awareness of VAT and financial controls.
Experience of financial accounts preparation.
Able to prioritise and work accurately under pressure to tight deadlines.
Detail conscious and numerate.
Able to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, (internal and external) and work proactively to resolve issues and queries.
Good MS Office skills particularly with Excel.
Desirable:
Knowledge of government accounting including HMRCs VAT Contracted Out Services headings.
