A client within the Public Sector based in Greater Manchester is currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join their Direct Works – Responsive and Planned Repairs and Voids team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a Housing Repairs environment. The Role Key purpose of the role is to carry out technical surveying and inspections relating to responsive repairs, planned maintenance, disrepair, damp, voids, and capital investment across council homes and public buildings. Ensuring the properties are maintained to a high standard, fit for use, and compliant with housing regulations. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Conducting pre-, during-, and post-inspections of works, including quality control. • Preparing specifications for remedial works and ensuring CDM and health & safety compliance. • Identifying defects and recommending effective solutions in line with Decent Homes and HHSRS standards. • Overseeing contractors and coordinating works on-site.
