STORES CONTROLLER

What you will be doing:
An opportunity has arisen for a Stores Controller to join the team at Lintott, a Galliford Try business.
The Stores Controller will work within the Company as part of a Management Development Programme to provide efficient & effective material supply arrangements & stores facilities that support the business in delivering excellent customer service.
* Control of material storage supply arrangements & facilities, ensuring safe storage & security processes to prevent unauthorized removal.
* Develop and maintain the stock system, ensuring materials meet specifications & stock levels are optimized.
* Process material requisitions using the company's information systems.
* Lead in annual & periodic stocktaking activities, presenting outcomes & improvement proposals.
* Utilize company’s information systems to monitor stock levels & record transactions.
* Contribute to departmental planning, ensuring compliance & performance.
* Identify risks & areas for improvement, communicating them promptly.
* Provide leadership & guidance to subordinates where applicable.
* Develop knowledge embedded within processes & systems to inform decision-making.
* Maintain strong interpersonal & communication skills for professional interaction.
* Ensure compliance with Business Assurance Standards in reporting & documentation.
* Ensure staff safety & a safe working environment.
* Perform other responsibilities as required, working to enhance company performance.
* Adhere to the Company’s Culture & Values.
About You:
* Experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
* Health & Safety awareness.
* Excellent IT skills including Word, Spreadsheets & Databases.
* Knowledge of Sage Line or Sage software.
* Understanding of Change Management.
