Fixed Term - Homeless Support Officer Location: Hurst Newton Supported Living Scheme, Bersham Road, Wrexham, LL14 4HD Contract: Fixed‑term maternity cover until January 2027 Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week; rolling rota including days, nights & weekends) About the Service Hurst Newton is a supported living scheme in Wrexham for young people aged 16–25 who are experiencing homelessness. About the Role As a Homeless Support Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting young people on their journey toward independence. In this role, you will: Provide practical and emotional support, helping residents develop essential life skills Encourage wellbeing, inclusion, and positive engagement with the community Support individuals with complex needs, including mental health and housing challenges Build trusting, professional relationships while maintaining clear boundaries Keep accurate and up-to-date records using internal systems This is a frontline, rewarding role where no two days are the same — but every day has the potential to make a real difference.
