About the role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health and Safety Manager to support our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and driving continuous improvement in workplace safety standards.
As an H&S Manager at Vuba, you will:
Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies, and industry best practices across all manufacturing operations.
Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations,and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Lead the development and delivery of health and safety training programs, toolbox talks, and induction sessions for all employees and contractors.
Review and update HSE policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant regulations (e.g. HSE, OSHA, ISO 45001).
Support and advise management and operational teams on health and safety issues, helping to embed best practices across the site.
Coordinate emergency response planning, including fire drills and first aid readiness.
Collect, analyse, and report on HSE performance data to identify trends and drive improvement initiatives.
Liaise with external bodies, such as regulatory authorities and auditors, during inspections and compliance reviews.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement in all matters related to health and safety.
Work with the Production manager to build and improve on SOP's for the business
Any other Ad hoc duties
Qualifications and Experience:
NEBOSH General Certificate
Proven experience in a health and safety role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge ofUK health and safety legislation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage across all levels of the business.
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management systems (e.g. SHEQ, RAMS, incident reporting tools).
Salary and Benefits:
£35,000 - £45,000 per year
