Newstaff Employment Services is currently seeking an experienced Trainee Machine Operator – Extrusion – Plastics to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the extrusion process, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining production efficiency and product quality.
Responsibilities
1. Operate extrusion machinery to produce plastic products according to specifications.
2. Monitor the production process to ensure quality and consistency of the output.
3. Perform regular equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
4. Troubleshoot issues that arise during the extrusion process and make necessary adjustments.
5. Maintain accurate production records and document any changes or issues during production.
6. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
7. Collaborate with the production team to improve processes and output.
Requirements
8. Proven experience as a Machine Operator, particularly in extrusion or plastic manufacturing.
9. Strong understanding of extrusion processes and machinery.
10. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality products.
11. Ability to troubleshoot machinery issues and perform basic maintenance.
12. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
13. Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols in a manufacturing environment.
14. Willingness to work shifts as required by production demands.
