EDUCATIONAL Act as a role model to junior nurses and students rotating to the area To undertake a recognised assessor training and subsequently participate in the formal assessment of learner nurses. Continually update professional knowledge, identifying own training needs to maintain professional standards. Participate in orientation of new staff. Participate in in-service education programmes. Have a working knowledge of all equipment used. In conjunction with the European Institute of Health and Medical Science, ensuring that the training needs of all learner groups are met.
