We have an exciting opportunity within our reception team and we are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a desire to help and support our patients to get the best service that we can offer. We are a split-site medical practice serving approximately 7300 patients between our main site at Croftfoot and our branch, located within the New Gorbals Health and Care Centre.
The post will be based at our Croftfoot site and will involve dealing with patients both face-to-face and via telephone. Core tasks will include arranging appointments, processing prescription requests and carrying out administrative duties involving patient mail and new patient registrations. Excellent communication skills and being competent in the use of IT is essential. Experience of working in general practice is preferred but full training will be provided.
As a member of our practice team, you will be fully supported by experienced administrative and clinical staff, many of whom have been with us for over 10 years. You will join us in creating a welcoming and nurturing environment for our medical students and GP trainees who bring a fresh excitement to the practice as they progress towards their goal of becoming a fully-fledged GP. We also offer opportunities to join our annual Step Count Challenge and participate in social outings throughout the year.
We offer a competitive rate of pay and membership into the NHS pension scheme. Contractual hours will be 32 hours per week – Monday 10am – 6pm, Tuesday 9am – 1pm, Wednesday 10am – 6:30pm, Thursday 9am – 1pm, Friday 10am – 6pm. Overtime is regularly available and applicants must be flexible to cover for annual leave and sick leave. This is a permanent post.
