T About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and highly organised attendance officer to join a dedicated team at a well-regarded Secondary school in the B7 area of Birmingham. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and track daily attendance, identifying patterns and cause for concern. - Follow up absences with families and carers via phone calls, home visits and meetings. - Work closely with pastoral staff and teaching staff to address attendance issues. - Promote a culture of high attendance and punctuality throughout the school. - Maintaining accurate attendance data and produce reports for leadership and external bodies. Requirements: - Strong organisational and administrative skills. - Previous experience in a school or similar environment is highly desirable. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with students, parents and staff. - A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
