Sous Chef Hotel Salary: £38,000 per annum 45-hour contract
We are seeking a talented and driven Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at a well-established hotel in the Worcester area.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced chef with a passion for fresh, high-quality food and strong banqueting experience to take the next step in their career.
The Role
As Sous Chef, you will:
Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
Lead and motivate the kitchen brigade in the Head Chefs absence
Ensure consistently high standards across la carte dining, events, and banqueting
Oversee food preparation using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
Maintain GP targets, stock control, and ordering
Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
About You
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous in a fresh food environment
Solid background in banqueting and large-scale events
Passion for quality, seasonal produce
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Calm under pressure with excellent attention to detail
