We are looking to recruit a an SPQ District Nurse to our expanding Community Health team. Unlike your usual Nursing role, you will be working across the local community, assessing patients in their own homes.
As a District Nurse, no day is the same; you will be met with patients of varied needs, from wound care to end of life care. Giving you the opportunity to develop and enhance your current skillset! You will also be given the opportunity to broaden and enhance your management skills.
Our working hours/days are as follows:
Monday to Friday (Core hours) - 08:30 - 16:30
1 weekend every 4 weeks with days off in the week
Late shift - 11:00-19:00
Early shift - 07:00 - 15:00

Main duties of the job
You will visit a number of patients on a daily basis in their own homes

Located at Upton Hospital, Slough covering Central Slough and surrounding areas

* Experience at band 5 in a community setting or other relevant practice area

* Ability to support staff to undertake clinical duties, develop and implement evidence based practice
* High levels of effective communication, influencing & interpersonal skills
* IT, written, and oral skills including presentations
* In depth knowledge of leg ulcers aetiology, treatment and prevention

* Valid full UK licence with confidence to drive during social hours and has use of car for work purposes
