We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our Wellcome Sanger Institute on a 12-month contract.
About the Role:
You will work closely with the Head of Product & Delivery across the portfolio and be a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. You will support project planning, considering user requirements and securing resources for delivery. You will arrange project meetings and capture key outcomes, decisions, actions, and risks for follow-up with the project team.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate COSMIC project delivery activities within the team and with stakeholders.
* Schedule and document meetings, plan activities, and ensure timely delivery of tasks and plans.
* Manage schedules, project documentation, and communicate progress effectively.
About You:
You will work alongside the Head of Product & Delivery, with potential support for Product Management activities. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential as you will engage with many teams.
Essential Technical Skills:
* Science degree in a relevant subject or equivalent.
* Ability to adapt to changing environments and demonstrate agile working approaches.
* Excellent organizational skills with effective planning and scheduling abilities.
* Proven ability to communicate complex information clearly in various formats.
* Focus, concentration, and accuracy within deadlines, even amid interruptions.
* Understanding of fundamental project management processes, such as risk management, change control, and scheduling.
* High computer literacy, especially with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and G-Suite applications.
* Experience working in cross-disciplinary teams within a matrix management environment.
