Senior Building Surveyor Job in South East London
in South East London, for a growing multidisciplinary consultancy. Working on diverse projects across Housing, Education, Commercial, Emergency Services and Health sectors. With flexibility of hybrid working. Our client is looking for candidates with project management and contract administration experience. Offering a salary of up to £70,000.

Role & Responsibilities
1. Assist Programme Manager/Project Team Leader with client liaison including formulation of briefs, fee proposals, project programming, and delivery of services
2. Act as Contract Administrator or Employer’s Agent across a wide range of building types, using all standard forms of construction
3. Undertake site visits and prepare detailed inspection reports
4. Prepare and present initial appraisals and feasibility studies
5. Carry out measured surveys of buildings and sites, and prepare accurate survey drawings
6. Develop outline and detailed design proposals with budget cost estimates
7. Submit statutory applications including Planning, Listed Building Consent, and Building Control
8. Prepare full working drawings, specifications, and schedules of work
9. Produce Employer’s Requirements for Design and Build projects
10. Manage tender processes, analyse results, and prepare tender reports
11. Draft contract documentation and maintenance manuals
12. Deliver professional surveying services such as Party Wall matters, Rights to Light, and condition surveys
13. Delegate and oversee team members to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
14. MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent qualification
15. Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
16. Proven experience managing multiple projects to budget and programme
17. Strong technical expertise in Building Surveying
18. Experience in Education, Healthcare, Emergency Services, and/or Commercial sectors advantageous
19. Excellent client communication and relationship management skills
20. Demonstrated ability to lead or support interdisciplinary teams
21. Self-motivated, organised, and proactive approach.
