Ue to business growth, we are looking to recruit for a Electrical/ Electronics Design Engineer for a leading manufacturing engineering company based North of York. This provide a rare opportunity to join a leading company who are a household name within their industry allowing you to gain exposure to a large variety of different disciplines.
The main purpose of the role is to provide engineering design and support functions, under instruction of more senior engineers.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field with exposure to design of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide design input on projects, using the technical competencies listed below.
• Produce engineering designs, specifications, and documentation to ISO 9001.
• Assist in the preparation of operating and maintenance manuals.
• Offsite engineering support for new products.
• Assist sales and marketing in the preparation of quotes and proposals.
• Provide customer support.
• Provide technical support to the production, logistics and integration departments.
• Work within the requirements of company procedures and national/international regulations.
Technical Competency
Essential
• Design of analogue and digital electronic circuits and PCBs
• Power distribution and protection equipment
• Variable speed drives and soft-starts
• Communication systems and protocols
• PCB manufacturing, standards and prototyping
• Industrial sensors and equipment
Desirable
• Wiring distribution systems
• Electric motor types, designs and specification
• Video distribution, formats, conversion and storage
• Fibre optic multiplexers and ancillaries
• Design of motor control electronic circuits and PCBs
• Design of electrical power transmission systems
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related/equivalent subject.
* Demonstrable experience in an Electrical/Electronics Design Engineering role.
* Clear technical writing and good record keeping.
* Software Skills : MS Office, Autocad. MathCAD - PCB Design using Altium.
