About Newham College:
Newham College London, now merged with NewVIc Sixth Form College, is the largest post-16 education provider in Newham. With campuses in East Ham, Stratford, Plaistow, and the London City Institute of Technology (LCIoT) in Canning Town, we serve over 11,000 students across a range of pathways including 1618 study, adult education, apprenticeships, and higher education.

The Role:
Are you passionate about supporting and developing the skills and knowledge of learners across a wide range of subject areas?
We are looking for a full-time permanent member of staff to join our Digital Technology team. You will need to have experience teaching L1 to L5 vocational qualifications in Information Technology, T Levels, Access and Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQ)
You should have a full teaching qualification, relevant teaching experiences and current Continues Professional Development (CPD) updating within the industry/sector.
Within your role you are expected to plan, deliver, assess and quality assure a range of subjects, whilst supporting students through their study programme as their personal tutor through English, math, work experience, industry placement and enrichment. You should be confident in working with parents and other departments to support learners to succeed.

Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults
In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education all employment offers are subject employment checks. These include (some of which are dependent on the role and the individual): Enhanced DBS including Childrens Barred List check, DfE teaching/management Barred List check, on-line searches, overseas criminal record check, evidence of identity and Right to Work in the UK, satisfactory references, confirmation of medical fitness, evidence of relevant qualifications and a check of previous employment history.

You will be required to become familiar with the College's policies, and comply with the requirements to safeguard and protect the welfare of children and young people and vulnerable adults. The salary for this position is inclusive of London weighting. Please note that it is Newham Colleges policy to offer all roles at the entry point of the salary scale advertised. However, based on your qualifications and experience, we may offer a higher starting salary within the specified salary range.
