ROLE: Machinist
LOCATION: Stoke
TERM: Permanent
SALARY: GBP 35,000: GBP 50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
My client works within the engineering manufacturing sector, and they are looking to take on a CNC Machinist, on a permanent basis, in the Stoke area.
The CNC / Machinist will ideally have the following attributes:
: Time served Engineer (NVQ/ Apprenticeship/ City and Guilds qualification ideally)
: Ideally 2 years' experience or more in a similar engineering manufacturing / machine shop environment
: Experience of working with CNC, milling, turning or manual grinding
: Experience of working with Fusion360 programming or 5 axis machining would be desirable
: Be able to work with MS Office
: Good communication skills
: Have the ability to read/ interpret engineering drawings
: The ability to work well alone as well as part of a team
The CNC / Machinist role will involve:
: Being responsible for the machining of one off engineering components
: Working to the right standards and specifications
: Interpreting engineering drawings
: Writing CNC machining programs (turning/ milling/ grinding)
: Helping to train apprentices or less experience team members
: Assisting with other general manufacturing activities
: Helping to drive the companies Continuous Improvement program
: Maintaining high standards
