An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and experienced marketing professional to join iconic Cambridge institution Fitzbillies. As the Content & Marketing Executive, you will enhance and support the brand both in-branch and online with engaging, compelling, and on-brand content. You'll create social media videos, in-branch posters, beautiful leaflets, and delightful customer-facing emails. With your drive and creativity, you'll bring innovative ideas and a passion for excellence to support the brand's heritage and ongoing growth.
This is a full-time role based in central Cambridge, with time spent across our branches and bakery, offering you the opportunity to make a tangible impact to a famous and beloved brand. You'll report into our Ecommerce & Marketing Director, working closely with them to fulfil our business objectives. Role responsibilities:
* To manage and grow the brand's social media presence, including creating video and photo content, ensuring each platform is on brand, engaging, and on message
* To create email content and automation sequences for ecommerce and branches that is clear, on brand, and drives sales
* To produce in-branch posters and print content that align with digital marketing messaging
* To support the website and ecommerce experience with website content and printed material
* To support more extensive photoshoots and content creation for ecommerce and branches
* To track the performance of marketing content across the business and feed this into the wider business to support business development
* To contribute ideas and initiatives to raise the profile of the business and support growth
Essential skills and experience:
* Previous experience in a marketing role, ideally for a B2C brand
* A good knowledge of CRM and email marketing from a technical point of view as well as content
* Experience creating engaging and effective photography and video content for social media
* Excellent written English and strong communication skills overall
* Organised and able to manage a varied and full workload efficiently and to set deadlines
* Ability to do basic graphic design using Canva – more proficient InDesign skills preferred
* Ambitious, curious, and willing to learn with a can-do attitude
* Excited to be part of a small business where we all jump in to achieve our goals
* Ability to manage your own time and be flexible on working location across our central Cambridge branches, depending on the work requirements
Desirable:
* Proficient in Canva, InDesign, Shopify and Meta
* Experience in hospitality and/or online retail
* Ability to write press releases on behalf of the brand
* Knowledge of Cambridge and Fitzbillies' history
* Understanding of how paid digital content works with organic
We are open to flexible hours for the right candidate, but no fewer than 28 hours a week.
