We are excited to be working on behalf of an award-winning IFA firm based in Ipswich, who are seeking a Trainee Independent Financial Advisor to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with prior experience within an IFA environment, who is looking to progress their career, work towards industry qualifications and ultimately become a fully qualified Financial Advisor. Key Duties & Responsibilities: * Carry out some financial planning calculations / tax calculations. * Assist in consulting with the Wealth Manager on client investment, pension, and tax planning and making suggestions to the Wealth Manager and confirming proposed actions to the client. * Effective time and caseload management. * Support in the preparation of compliant suitability reports. * Providing technical administrative support including set up of policies and Trusts, providing documentation required to enable changes to income/withdrawals, premiums, and funds, preparing meeting packs, processing client changes of details, sending and processing letters of authority, trading client funds and other investments as recommended by Wealth Manager Skills & Experience: * Minimum of 1 R0 unit towards the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning qualification and willing to work towards gaining others required to attain the full Diploma. * Experience working within an IFA firm is essential * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal * Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy * Strong organisational skills with flexibility to meet different tasks, requirements and expectations whilst remaining calm, and be able to prioritise accordingly whilst meeting deadlines Benefits: * 23 days holiday BH (increasing with length of service) and additional company Christmas leave * Full study support and study day * Free parking * Gym Membership * Hybrid working * Flu jabs paid for * Sick pay * Health Cash Plan (non-contributory) * Workplace Contributory Pension Scheme * Group Life Cover / Death in service (4x salary) * Theatre discount * Eligibility to participate in the discretionary annual bonus opportunities * Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) * Private Medical Insurance (contributory basis)
