We deliver over 35,000 annual repairs, Void refurbishments and planned upgrades, Celtic Horizons also delivers estate services for United Welsh, including gas servicing, grounds maintenance, cleaning and facility management. Celtic Horizons was the first wholly owned subsidiary of its kind formed by United Welsh who have entered into a partnership with Mears Group. Celtic Horizons care for over 6500 properties spanning over 11 local authority areas in South Wales.
About the Role:
The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead and manage a team of in-house repairs operatives. The role will strike the balance between technical expertise and management to optimise the use of data, systems, and technology to drive a consistently improving experience for our customers and contract holders. We understand the importance that repairs play in the overall satisfaction and trust our customers have in Celtic Horizons. This role is a hybrid position, you will work in branch 30% of your time then be in the field, on site supporting our Operatives.
The role reports into the Head of Service at Celtic Horizons. Through the effective management of an in-house team, plus our external subcontractor framework, the role will nurture a culture of continuous improvement to our service delivery. All of this will be delivered while ensuring a safe, compliant working environment for all colleagues whilst evidencing Value for Money.
Role Criteria
With a proven track record of management experience, preferably within a similar sector, you ll excel in this position. You ll have led a team across various locations, demonstrating your ability to work collaboratively and drive results. You will have a strong commercial acumen, coupled with a budgetary understanding.
At your core, you will possess a customer-focused mindset. Your management style will create an environment that motivates and develops your colleagues and your ability to present data will allow you to make effective business decisions.
* Customer focused: A key focus will be to enhance the customer and colleague experience by creating a culture of innovation and improvement. This will be achieved by utilising data, systems and technology to drive consistent improvements. Customer feedback will also be essential in shaping the delivery of our repairs service.
* Data-Driven Decision Making: You will be detail orientated and be adept at analysing data to drive effective decision-making that delivers an effective and efficient service. Your technical expertise will ensure a safe working environment for our colleagues and customers while complying with all technical and health & safety requirements.
* Proven track record of management and delivery of a team to deliver responsive repairs.
* Proven track record of commercial and performance management.
* Ability to manage multiple sites & contracts.
* Proven track record of working in a customer focused environment.
* Experience of managing and supervising Operatives and Sub Contractors.
* H&S qualification
* Trade qualification (NVQ, City and Guilds etc) or ability to demonstrated extensive trade knowledge through time served.
* Full current driving licence
