Overview
SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant role in a Good primary school in Hall Green. Immediate start until July 2026. Salary £80 - £100 per day. One-to-one support for a pupil with Autism in Year 4.
Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one support to a Year 4 pupil with Autism throughout the school day
* Help manage routines, access learning activities, and develop communication and social interaction
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt strategies and ensure the pupil’s needs are consistently met
The Candidate
* Degree in any subject (2:2 or above)
* Patient, empathetic approach; confidence, consistency, and the ability to build trust
* Experience supporting children with Autism in school, care, or voluntary settings is advantageous
* Clear and confident verbal and written communication
* Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
* Desire to work in education/with children and support individual pupil progress
Requirements
* Degree - 2:2 or above in any subject
* Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication
* Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate
* Desire to work in education/with children - strong interest in SEN
* Experience working with children - relevant experience such as SEN support, mentoring, or volunteering is desirable but not essential
