Job Description:
Job purpose:
* Providing high-quality outreach and home-based Early Help support to children and families, adopting a 'whole family' approach (levels 2 and 3).
* Delivering targeted support to children aged 0-25 and their families to prevent statutory intervention and promote access to universal services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Supporting cases that reach level 4 complexity.
* Offering intensive support to vulnerable children and young people, including bespoke programmes and supporting those with complex emotional and mental health needs.
* Helping families develop practical parenting strategies to improve family relationships, including facilitating family meetings.
* Participating in regular supervision with the Consultant Social Worker, providing evidence of progress and improved outcomes.
* Meeting the standards set out in the Early Help Hub Practice Standards.
* Attending staff meetings, reviews, planning sessions, and contributing to plans for children and young people.
* Sharing knowledge and contributing to service development and innovation within Children's Services.
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 in childcare and education, NND, or Health and Social Care qualification.
* Experience working directly with children, young people, and families.
* Experience in collaborative and multi-agency support work.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with diverse audiences.
* Experience delivering outreach and home-based support.
* Ability to maintain accurate records following Recording with Care guidelines.
* Flexibility to support the service's overall operation.
* Enhanced DBS check within the last 12 months; if on the update service, fast-track options available.
* Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS if not already held.
