This lovely nursery is looking for a maternity cover manager for their setting! Requirements:
* Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
* Experience in an Early Years leadership role (Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar)
* Experience with regulatory inspections
* Proven ability to develop high-performance teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver quality pedagogy and service excellence
* Confident decision-maker, capable of supporting change and understanding the business and service relationship in a regulated setting
* Strong knowledge of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements for working with children
* Ability to build trust and strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and external partners
Responsibilities:
* Lead nursery teams to deliver outstanding care
* Drive employee engagement, retention, and performance
* Collaborate with Recruitment and HR to ensure full staffing and diversity
* Mentor staff to ensure high-quality practice, including children with special needs
* Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, overseeing safeguarding policies and practices
* Identify and develop high-performing practitioners and leaders
* Work with regional and operational teams to implement commercial strategies for growth
* Manage nursery performance to meet financial targets and optimize revenue and costs
* Engage with local authorities to support practice and compliance
