We are recruiting an enthusiastic and motivatedhealthcare assistant to join our friendly clinical team. We have some flexibility inthe hours required and will be recruiting up to a maximum of 30 hours per week. Main duties of the job
You will be a key part of our team delivering high quality patient care under the supervision of registered healthcare professionals. The role will be varied and will include but not limited to the below:
* Diagnostic tests such as ECG recording and blood pressure monitoring
* Wound care and dressings
* Vaccinations and Injections
* Diabetic foot checks
* Assisting with minor surgery, coils and other procedures
* Personalised diet and lifestyle advice
* Stock Management and Ordering
* Infection Control and Equipment Maintenance
Competence in the above-listed clinical tasks is essential.
Although you will primarily be based in the surgery you may occasionally be asked to visit a patient at home. Full training will be provided for any aspects of the role depending on your experience.

* Follow our practice processes and policies and seek guidance from the nursing and duty team for any clinical decisions outside of your competency
* Undertake administrative tasks to support patient care
* Work closely with our team to assist in supporting our patients with a chronic disease
* Behave professionally with colleagues and patients at all times
* Contribute to the practice ethos to improve and develop our processes and care.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* A qualification to support employment as an Healthcare Assistant.
* Phlebotomy training
* Have undertaken a personalised care course or motivational conversation training.
Experience
* Experience with working in the NHS as a Healthcare Assistant or other related role. You must be competent to carry out the clinical tasks detailed in the Job Description.
* Experience of working in a GP Practice as a Healthcare Assistant.
