Registered Manager – Learning Disabilities, Uzmaston

Domus Recruitment is offering a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Manager to join a local care organization at their new service in Uzmaston, Wales. This role involves supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities. The Registered Manager is responsible and accountable to the Service Development Manager for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the administrative, residential, and care services, ensuring the highest standards of care and service, and optimal utilization of resources.


Key Responsibilities of a Registered Manager

1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the service to ensure the provision of high-quality, safe care in accordance with CIW standards.
2. Lead and supervise staff, including conducting regular supervision and managing disciplinary issues.
3. Oversee health and safety, including risk assessments in line with policies and CIW requirements.
4. Create and update support plans for service users, promoting health, independence, and skills development.
5. Support service users with health needs, organize medical support, and manage medication administration.


Registered Manager Requirements

* Management experience in Health and Social Care, preferably in residential settings.
* Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care or willingness to obtain it.
* Knowledge of current CIW care standards to ensure service quality.
* Computer literacy with strong communication skills.
* Experience in note-taking and record-keeping for meetings and interactions.
* Caring, patient, approachable, and sensitive, with a sense of urgency when needed.
* Understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
* Experience in training management, HR issues, and safe recruitment processes.
* Ability to prioritize workload under pressure in a busy environment.
* The successful candidate will be based in Kent.
