Electronics Assembly Technician – Soldering & Quality
Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an Electronics Assembly Technician to join our busy and growing production team.
This is a hands-on production role assembling LED lighting products, including LED tape, wiring assemblies and bespoke light bars. The role involves precision soldering, product assembly and quality inspection, ensuring products meet the company’s high standards before leaving production.
We are looking for someone with strong soldering skills, excellent attention to detail and experience working to quality standards within an electronics or electrical assembly environment.
This is a full-time permanent position.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
• Assembly and production of LED lighting products
• Precision hand soldering of LED strip, wiring and electrical components
• Working accurately from drawings, worksheets and job instructions
• Carrying out quality checks and visual inspections on completed products
• Ensuring all assemblies meet internal quality and workmanship standards
• Using production tools and equipment including:
* Soldering irons
* Hand tools
* Saws and shaping equipment
• Identifying and reporting quality issues during production
• Supporting product testing and verification where required
• Meeting daily production targets while maintaining high quality standards
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment
• Supporting team members during busy production periods
Essential Skills & Experience
• Previous soldering experience assembling electrical or electronic products
• Experience working in electronics assembly, electrical manufacturing or production environments
• Strong attention to detail and quality control awareness
• Ability to follow technical drawings, job sheets and written instructions
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively within a production team
• Comfortable working to production targets and deadlines
• Basic PC literacy
Desirable Skills
• Experience working with LED lighting products or electrical components
• Previous quality inspection or product testing experience
• Experience using multimeters or basic electrical testing equipment
• Experience assembling wiring harnesses or PCB-based products
