Typically, you will attend college for the first three years, with the final year spent primarily in the workshop. Working alongside your mentor, you will receive full hands-on training. As a Vehicle Accident Repair Technician, you will repair and replace damaged panels using gas, electric, and plastic welding techniques. You will also gain experience using specialist body jigs and tools, equipping you with the skills needed for a career in vehicle repair. A desire to work in the Automotive Industry\nTechnical Skills\nBasic knowledge of vehicle body structure and materials (metal, plastic, composites)\nAbility to use hand and power tools safely and effectively (e.g., hammers, grinders, sanders)\nUnderstanding of welding and metal fabrication basics\nFamiliarity with paint preparation and application processes\nBasic skills in measuring and assessing damage\nAbility to disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts â¢\tNationals at level 4 or above in English and Mathâs\nâ¢\tIt is also preferred if you have a Craft Subject and physics/science; these are advantageous but not mandatory.\nâ¢\tA desire to work in the Automotive Industry\nâ¢\tHobbies which may involve using tools and motor trade-related related.\nYou will be working towards the SVQ Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship\nInitial Assessments and interviews will be carried out by Remit Ltd.\n
