1. Basic Salary Circa - £50,000 depending on experience

4. Monday – Friday 18:00 – 02:00 (Flexible start and finish times available)
5. Other shifts available – earlies, days, lates and nights
HGV Technician required for our client’s busy Portsmouth workshop!
Our client, a well-established commercial vehicle repair and maintenance business with over 30 years of experience, is looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their team on the late/night shift in Portsmouth. They work with a diverse range of haulage companies and fleet operators, delivering high standards of service and technical expertise across all makes and models of commercial vehicles. Duties of a HGV Technician with our client include:
13. Carrying out vehicle inspections, repairs and routine servicing in accordance with manufacturer procedures within standard times
14. Fault diagnosis and defect repairs
15. Road testing vehicles to ensure quality standards are met
16. MOT preparation and presentation
17. Assisting with breakdowns and roadside assistance when needed
18. Completing all paperwork accurately and on time
What our client expects from their HGV Technicians:
19. City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or an equivalent qualification
20. Proven experience working with commercial vehicles of various makes and models
21. A full UK driving licence
22. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently
23. Good communication skills and a methodical approach to work
