Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team of six, ensuring the delivery of accurate financial information and providing expert financial advice across the business.
* Foster a high-performing finance team through ongoing development and support.
* Oversee the preparation and submission of weekly, monthly, and statutory financial reports.
* Manage the audit process and liaising with other external personnel where required.
* Support the annual budgeting process and contribute to the development of strategic plans.
* Maintain strong financial controls throughout all areas of the organisation to safeguard financial integrity.
* Promote best practice and build collaborative relationships within the wider Halma group.
* Partner with operational and functional teams to drive process improvements and efficiency.
* Identify and analyse key business drivers to support growth and performance.
* Explore opportunities to enhance business systems through new technologies and data analytics.
Relevant Experience
* Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment
* Proven track record in financial management and control
* Experience leading and developing a finance team
* Background in preparing budgets and strategic plans
* Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and efficiency
Education and Training
* Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
* Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or UK GAAP
* Commitment to continuous professional development
