Job Description Summary M&D are a growing business within GE Renewable Energy, developing best in class Transformer Monitoring Equipment. Our products are designed and built in Lisburn, Northern Ireland and combine hardware, firmware and sensing technologies help meet our customers’ asset management needs. We require a project manager to coordinate and manage a team to develop a new version of the existing Hydran product. The successful candidate will need to work with the development team (across several locations) to gather requirements from our product managers and other stakeholders, and then to refine these requirements, design and develop a product, verify and validate this product and make it available for manufacture and supply to customers. Job Description The role will require: Coordination of all the inputs from stakeholders, Defining scope and prioritisation of feature development, Creating high level schedules and budgets, Tracking and visualising progress of the team, Delivery of projects on time, Communication of activities and progress across all levels of business, Supporting continuous improvement in planning and development processes. The ideal candidate must have: Experience managing or leading engineering development projects. Experience in estimating work, pulling together development plans and budgets. Proven ability to motivate self and others to deliver on time and to full scope. Excellent communication skills including the ability to visualise and share project status. Ability to remove roadblocks and determine novel solutions to problems. In addition, the candidate would also have: Experience managing hardware and firmware development programmes. A diverse range of professional experiences, guiding the development teams with a unique perspective. Experience with project management tools (e.g. Jira, MS Project, Playbook). Familiarity with engineering diligence controls required for product release. Experience interacting with teams across different countries and cultures.
