As an International Asset & Liability Management Risk Associate in our Asset & Liability Management (ALM) Risk team, you will be at the forefront of managing liquidity and structural interest rate risk matters. You will monitor, forecast, report, set policies, and manage regulatory risks for legal entities based in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). Your role provides an opportunity to make a significant impact on the firm's risk management strategies.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Identify, assess, and monitor liquidity and interest rate risks related to JPM’s business activities, including banking products, trading products, and off-balance sheet activities.
2. Review regulatory and internal stress scenarios through back-testing and consider lessons learned from recent market trends and specific events, both at the JPM firmwide level and standalone legal entity level.
3. Lead regular dialogue with other departments, senior management within JPM, and external regulators where required, covering multiple legal entities across various jurisdictions.
4. Oversee work performed by junior team members.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
5. Bachelor’s degree.
6. Experience in ALM, Corporate Treasury, or Risk Management, with a wide range of experience in quantitative, financial, and risk management techniques & systems (Python, Alteryx, LLM).
7. Relevant professional experience in financial services, in the banking industry, with familiarity in financial market trends and events.
8. Strong, clear, and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to edit and prepare executive-level communications, representing the team in senior committees and external regulators.
9. Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships.
10. Intellectual curiosity with a proven ability to learn quickly.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
11. Understanding of liquidity and interest rate risk requirements under Basel and EMEA jurisdictions is preferred but not required.
12. Experience with Python, Alteryx, and LLM systems.
13. Familiarity with Basel and EMEA jurisdiction liquidity and interest rate risk requirements.
